The Challenge
To counteract sophisticated engagement mechanisms of modern social media platforms—including reward systems, algorithmic content curation, social reinforcement, and hyper-personalisation—that contribute to behavioural addiction, attention deficits, and negative psychological impacts.
The Solution
Developed a comprehensive multi-stakeholder intervention framework incorporating regulatory oversight, user agency tools, digital literacy education, safety verification mechanisms, wellbeing features, and cross-sector collaboration with a phased implementation strategy.
The Result
Created an evidence-based policy approach with anticipated five-year outcomes across multiple domains: improved mental health indicators, enhanced workplace and academic performance, healthier economic behaviors, and more balanced digital engagement patterns.
